    Employment Type: Contract (1099)

    About the Role

Naviri Group partners with organizations to navigate complex data transformations and drive advanced business intelligence initiatives. As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of BI solutions across enterprise applications, data platforms, and system integrations. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that project scope, timelines, budgets, quality standards, and business outcomes are consistently aligned and successfully delivered.

In this dual client-facing and internal consulting role, you will balance hands-on technical delivery with advisory support, bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to sophisticated, multi-workstream data and analytics projects. Whether working directly with clients or collaborating with internal teams, you will thrive if you are able to stay composed under pressure, demonstrate a deep understanding of modern BI and analytics tools, and are recognized for transforming complex data challenges into actionable insights and progress.

    What You’ll Do

    • Lead the end-to-end delivery of business intelligence initiatives, including the design, development, and deployment of customer-facing BI solutions, data platform enhancements (such as ETL, r eporting, and analytics), and seamless system integrations.

    • Develop and oversee detailed project plans for BI projects, defining clear milestones, tracking key dependencies, and maintaining RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs to ensure robust governance and alignment with both client and Naviri Group standards.

    • Direct and coordinate cross-functional teams—including BI developers, data engineers, architects, analysts, QA professionals, and external vendors—to ensure transparent roles, accountability, and efficient workflow management throughout BI and analytics projects.

    • Collaborate closely with Technical Business Analysts and Solution Architects to validate that BI project scope, requirements, and technical designs are comprehensive, achievable, and directly support business objectives.

    • Serve as the primary delivery partner to technical leads, maintaining oversight of BI solution build sequencing, managing technical environments, data dependencies, testing strategies, and release planning.

    • Adapt and manage project delivery using Agile, hybrid, or waterfall methodologies as appropriate, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and coordinating releases with a pragmatic approach tailored to BI and analytics workstreams.

    • Oversee the successful execution of data and analytics initiatives, such as ETL pipeline development, creation of dashboards and reports, and full validation cycles to ensure data integrity, performance, and user accessibility within BI platforms.

    • Identify and proactively address risks, manage issues and dependencies, and ensure all BI solutions comply with security, privacy, regulatory, and operational standards throughout the project lifecycle.

    • Supervise vendor relationships related to BI toolsets and data services, ensuring contract compliance and monitoring delivery performance against Statements of Work (SOWs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

    • Provide clear, actionable project updates and reporting to stakeholders and executives, translating technical BI delivery progress into meaningful business insights that support informed decision-making.

    • Support the complete testing lifecycle for BI solutions, including cutover planning, go-live readiness, and transition to operational support (hyper care) post-launch to ensure sustained business value.

    • Champion user adoption and change management strategies to drive business value realization from delivered BI and analytics solutions, supporting ongoing user engagement and satisfaction.

    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Naviri Group’s BI delivery standards, project templates, and governance frameworks to support organizational growth and excellence in business intelligence services.

    • Experience working within energy, renewables, or asset-intensive sectors is considered a strong asset, in line with Naviri Group’s client portfolio.

    What You’ll Bring

    • Comprehensive understanding of data lifecycle management, ETL and ELT processes, data warehousing, BI/reporting platforms, and integration with APIs and enterprise systems.

    • Hands-on expertise with BI and analytics technologies such as Power BI and Tableau, including experience designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines and reporting solutions.

    • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, data analysts, and cross-functional teams, proactively identifying risks, asking insightful questions, and sequencing technical workstreams for maximum business impact.

    • Proven experience managing BI and analytics project delivery using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps, with documentation and knowledge-sharing in Confluence or SharePoint.

    • Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and risks, while maintaining strong relationships and trust with stakeholders and delivery teams.

    • Comfort operating within regulated, high-reliability, or data-sensitive environments, ensuring all BI solutions meet security, privacy, and compliance standards.

    • Exceptional communication skills, with the capacity to lead with confidence, resolve technical and business conflicts constructively, and engage effectively with senior stakeholders.

    • Strong analytical mindset, adaptability to new technologies and industry trends, and experience fostering cross-functional collaboration, mentoring peers, and driving process improvements in BI delivery.
